Before you apply
- Is the app really in my name?
- Yes. Your name and icon are on the App Store and Google Play listing, and your website is on your own address.
- What does it cost?
- Applying is free. Once you are approved: a setup fee once, then a monthly fee that follows your fan count, and 9% of what your fans pay.
- How much do Apple and Google take?
- From 15% to 30% of a purchase made in the iPhone or Android app. YouApp's 9% comes off the same $100, so you keep $61.00 to $76.00. On your website only the card fee comes off, and you keep $87.80.
- Who owns my fans?
- You do. Your app runs in its own cloud project, and your fans' accounts live there, not in a pool shared with other artists.
- Do I need to know how to code?
- No. We build the app. You post, upload music and answer fans from your dashboard.
- Can I bring my Spotify catalog?
- Your name and photo come in from Spotify when you apply. Your music is uploaded once, and then it streams inside your app.
